Love Allroad Motorsports. Jim does a great job at a fair price. I had my BMW suspension refreshed and an axle replaced. My car is smooth and tight now. Service was complete professional! I recommend to my friends. BMW VW Audi Porsche etc

Always does a great job at a great price.

Excellent mechanic. No nonsense and fair prices. His communication isn't always perfect, but as long as you follow up with him it's no problem. Highly recommended.

Jim is the best. I've been going to him for years for a Volkswagen Jetta TDI and Jim's always been honest. He never tries to sell us stuff we don't need or say that a repair is necessary when we don't need it. He gets repairs done promptly once the car has been brought in and his estimates of when he'll finish repairs are accurate or sooner than expected. One person said he didn't communicate well, but while he is a quiet person, I've never had any problems with calling him and getting an immediate response. Update 11/30/2018: I had Jim fix some electric issues in the vehicle like a non-functioning release of the trunk. He also made some major repairs to the vehicle, such as replacing our broken turbo charger. Again, Jim was honest and provided affordable service. I emphasize this because in my experience, it's really hard to find an honest mechanics in general and especially one that can work on diesel vehicles. Just some advice for people who are new to Allroad Motorsports: The best time to call Jim is between 8am and 4pm during weekdays. Usually you get a busy signal outside of those hours or on holidays. And make sure to let the phone ring for a while because he's likely in the shop working on cars and needs a moment to get to the phone.

Excellent service!!! Honest and affordable.

Jim has exceeded my expectations. (1) What I get: Polite, pleasant, competent service. He would listen to my complaint and immediately get to work. Affordable pricing, gentle on wallet. Almost always his charges would be less than what one might expect. Jim is a talented, experienced mechanic. He understands cars. He is sympathetic to his customer's needs. (2) What you would not get. You would not get lots of handholding. And, you have to drive 5 to 10 miles to reach Jim. I went to a national chain that begins with M to get the brakes fixed. (Jim had a backlog and could do it only after a week; backlogs, by the way, are healthy signs - it shows he is in demand). There's a nice office and there's coffee. And, the desk person is there to talk to you for a long time and do as much handholding as you would like. By contrast, Jim's office is nice with lots of latest issues of several magazines. But, no front office person. You press a door bell and Jim would come up and attend you. You wait and your work would soon get done. Later, I had to get the same work done on the front wheels. Jim charged me $300 (the M chain had charged me $400) I also had some problems with a backdoor. The M chain offered to examine it for a fee of $55, which I declined. Jim found that there was a child lock switch that was inadvertently triggered. He fixed it for free. (3) Other issues. As noted, you have to drive 5 to 10 miles reach Jim's sparkling, clean garage. A location out in the country keeps costs low. There might be one or two other people helping Jim. No front persons keeps the costs low. I don't think Jim does emergency repairs. I think the quickest I would get an appointment would be two days. Yet, Jim is efficient and always working. (4) An analogy: Going to Jim is like having an old fashioned personal physician. He may not have all the facilities and do all things that you might need. But, he knows your body and provides the best service. By contrast, a big hospital would provide a whole range of services. Doctors and other medical personnel are unknown. Charges are high. For me, my first choice is the good, old doctor. And, the good, old mechanic.

I have been using Jim for about 10 years now. He first took care of my BMW and now my Audi. He has always helped me out with any questions I may have. Including the ones that I was going to fix my own car. He one time let me borrow a specialty tool to fix my car. Very honest and best prices in town. The bad review, he checked the mechanical issues on that PPI. It is your responsibility to have pics sent of any damage to the body. Go back home and stay there.

Jim is a great mechanic. Only thing that can be improved is communication during the repair process, especially if repairs take longer than originally promised

I was referred to Allroad by a fellow BMW enthusiast and they came with very high recommendations. Unfortunately in this case they did not live up to those standards. I trusted allroad to do a PPI for me as I was going to purchase a car from out of state. I scheduled the PPI, but whoever talked to me on the phone seemed like he wasn't really interested in my business. I tried to find out how detailed the PPI would be, asking specifically about checking for signs of prior accidents, modifications, general condition of car, and so on. I was assured the PPI would be thorough and done well. The day of the PPI I tried to call over a dozen times and never got an answer, from 9am until 4 pm. Finally at 5 he answered, said "yeah car looks good. Just a leaking valve cover gasket. " I pressed him for more info but he just said everything is good. I asked if he drove the car he said no he didn't get a chance to. I should have seen that as a warning sign but alas Based on a clean bill of health, except for a leaky valve cover gasket, I flew over 600 miles to get the car. Guess what the PPI didn't tell me about? - Several dents over the passenger window, the largest being about 4" across. VERY obvious, impossible to miss - Broken buttons (obviously broken off) for EDC and Traction control in the center console. Like, the buttons weren't even on console it was just the plastic tabs underneath. - No pedal cover on clutch pedal, making it very slippery - Rock chips everywhere and tons of scratches and swirls in the paint (I specifically asked about condition of paint) - Big chip in windshield But all those are relatively minor and maybe even forgivable, even though anyone doing a decent PPI should disclose those issues. Here's the real kicker: - half the front bumper was resprayed, the panels didn't align, and one of the headlights was newer than the other one - all showing a very obvious sign of a prior accident (car has clean carfax). If my untrained eye can see it, a professional should be able to see it easily as well. I had to pass on the car, and I could have saved myself hundreds of dollars, 12 hours, and a vacation day, if only allroad took the time to actually inspect the car they were paid to inspect. He didn't even test drive the car!!!! Really disappointed.

Excellent service and price. Will bring the Porsche back when it needs service.
